About Me
Since as long as I can remember I’ve not been able to sit still (annoying for some but I love it!); Sport has always been a massive part of my life.

From the age of 10 I’ve been involved in Motor Racing, progressing through the ranks of Junior and Senior British Kart Championships including Super 1. At the age of 16 I made the jump to endurance car racing with my brother Craig, competing 2 seasons in the Britcar Championship in a Ferrari 360.

After 2 successful seasons including numerous wins and podium finishes we decided it was time to take things more seriously and in 2007 we moved to the highest level of endurance motor racing in the UK, The British GT Championship.

Competing in a Mosler MT900 we were immediately on the pace and battling for podiums. It proved to be a difficult year though and a mixture of mechanical failures and changes to regulations meant we were never really able to trouble the guys at the front as much as we should have been.

At the end of the year and with disappointing results the worst happened, the financial crisis took hold of the UK and all 3 of our major sponsors removed their funding leaving us unable to compete.

After (what felt like a few years – but was probably only 6months!) concentrating on other areas of my life, the competitive voice inside me got louder and louder and eventually I needed to get involved in something to channel my focus and energy.

Knowing that my fitness base has always been pretty good, I decided to enter the London Triathlon in August 2009.

With only a month of training and with inadequate equipment, by today’s standards, I completed my first Olympic distance triathlon in 2 hours 30 minutes and 2 seconds. I was absolutely chuffed and officially hooked!

I’ve now invested in new equipment and have been training solidly since August 2009. I will be competing in numerous duathlons, triathlons, running races and bike TT’s throughout 2010. My goal is to make it to the Great Britain Age Group Triathlon team by the end of 2010.

My long term aspiration is to become an elite triathlete, representing my country all over the world including qualifying for the World Triathlon Championships in the Gold Coast of Australia in 2011.

I’m also looking to complete my first Ironman Triathlon in 2011 and hope to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii in 2012.
